What is Local Jam?

Local Jam is a platform that connects musicians, bands, venues, and music lovers in your city. You can create a profile, discover local talent, post or apply for gigs, and message other members directly.

Is Local Jam free to use?

Yes. Creating a profile and browsing the platform is completely free. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but the core experience will always be free.

Who can join Local Jam?

Anyone involved in the local music scene: solo musicians, bands, venues, and music listeners. You choose your profile type when you sign up.

How do I create a profile?

Sign up with your email address, choose your profile type, and fill in your profile details — name, city, genres, instruments, and a short bio. The more complete your profile, the easier it is for others to find you.

Can I have multiple profiles?

Yes. You can manage multiple profiles under one account — for example, a personal musician profile and a band profile.

How does messaging work?

You can send direct messages to any member. Conversations are private and only visible to the participants.

How do I post a gig opportunity?

Go to the Opportunities section and click 'Post a gig'. Fill in the details — type of gig, location, date, fee, and requirements — and it will be visible to relevant musicians in your area.

How is my personal data used?

Your personal data is used solely to operate and improve the Local Jam platform. We do not sell your data to third parties. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion by contacting us at privacy@localjam.live. We will delete your account and all associated personal data within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR.

How do I report a user or content?

Use the report function on any profile or message, or contact us directly at contact@localjam.live. We take all reports seriously and investigate within 48 hours.

What should I do if I forget my password?

Click 'Forgot password' on the login page and enter your email address. You will receive a link to reset your password.
